I just had the urge today to basically clean up my face book account and it dawned on me out of the 300+ people who were my friends on the social networking site about 97 of them where people i actually know or want to get to know. I couldn’t help but think … why did the other 203+ people add me?
While thinking about it, it dawned on me. Face book just seems to be one big popularity contest. To get the best out of most of the games on there you need at least 501 friends to get the most super awesome and amazing thing to help you just get that little bit further into the game of click this button, click that button, maybe update your inventory and then it starts again with the clicking and the updating.
I mean im all for the whole lets make new friends and keep in contact and perhaps play games with each other but why would you add someone then just ignore them. At least try and say hello every now and again, make friends with the people your adding instead of just adding them to boast to your… lets say real, friends that you have more friends than they do.
